Nutri-Flow is a novel nutrition calculation service. The Nutri-Flow nutrition calculation service provides nutrition guidance in a user-friendly way: the balanced diet does not alter the original diet too much and the recommended adjustments to the diet are given on a foodstuff level in text format.
Nutri-Flow service applies a fuzzy logic expert system to give a guidance on the foodstuff level. The Genetic Algorithms optimization module is applied to determine portion sizes for foods to be changed.

The Fuzzy Expert System (FES) is a solid part of Nutri-Flow nutrition calculation application. FES can be tailored into any third-party nutrition calculation application with some limitations. The aim of current development work is to make FES available to third-party nutrition calculation applications via API in an efficient and easy way.
The Nutri-Flow service for consumers is currently available only in Finnish.
